My Monk, Necro, Mesmer, Paragon, Assassin, and Ritualist all had armor to infuse, so I used the zmission to do that last night. Of those 6 times doing the mission, I used 3 heroes and 4 henchmen each time. I got 5 picks to drop for me. Since I hade h+h, I don't think the number was too low at all.

Thing is, you are dealing with statistics. To have numbers that will make sense, you need to kill hundreds of thousands of monsters before you can see if you are getting bad drops. May even need to be in the millions. Looks can be deceiving, but I don't see a problem with the drop rates.

We need a sticky at the top of Riverside saying, "Stop crying about drops, it's all luck," so that people stop creating threads like these on X weekend when Y has a higher drop rate.

We do not need a sticky about this sort of moan we need people to ignore the moan.

1 moan and 20 replies saying stop moaning well in my book its the replies that are the annoying part keeping the thread current.

First anet should just say what the heck the drop rate odds are it wouldn't be the end of the world the economy or the game itself if we knew this.

That should help reduce any moans so come on just tell us the odds then when you say its a 3x drop rate weekend we can get out a calculator and work it all out then decide whether to bother.

Tough luck you got mate. I got 4 lockpicks in a single LB farming run.
Not to mention the about 20 other picks I got just casually playing lol.

Ty a-net. May the force be with you ^^

At least A-Net has learned something from history: A triple lockpick drop weekend all by itself is pretty lame.

It's awefully nice of them to combine it with a double lucky/unlucky points for using chests! (If I were to max the Lucky title this weekend, I'd need to retain about 1,700 lockpicks. - I won't even get 100 - hehe!)

I'm really pissed that I only got 2 lockpicks this weekend. I did Iron Mines of Moladune for the Z-mission and CoF.

(That's it. That's all I did. )

But seriously folks, the drop rate on lockpicks is pretty low to begin with. 3 X nothing = nothing

Weekend's not over yet, people. Also, as has been said, it's all luck. I played for several hours Friday afternoon, and I completely forgot that it was lockpick weekend until I suddenly got 3 picks in a span of about 10 minutes of normal play. No more drops for the rest of the day, though.

luck has alot to do with it, i agree but lets not mistake this for a gripe thread, its not.

as i said in my first post (and others have repeated) 3x the chance of 0% is still 0% and thats my issue. a lockpick weekend isnt special at all. Luck weekend, ok, i get it, but there is no draw for a lockpick special because there isnt really anything special about it. since its all luck, those getting lockpicks this weekend are lucky and could have nothing to do with the weekend. i think that the lockpick special should be taken out of the weekend rotation and leave it as a luck/unlucky.

**my wife just brought up an interesting suggestion that maybe the drops are related to Lucky/Unlucky titles of your account. oddly this would fit for me as i have a full level higher of Unlucky than Lucky. 99% untrue but kinda interesting.

also, if its about running chests for luck etc, why not just make it a lockpick retention weekend where you gain 50% to retain your pick. that would make alot more sense.

Not a single lockpick drop. I don't think much thought was put into this lackluster event.

Unless its faction points, triple next to nothing is still near next to nothing. Don't expect a haul and you won't be disappointed. As is played most of the weekend vanqing cantha and doing zmissions, got 1 kurz key and 1 for the raisu palace explorable (think they call it a forbidden key or something).

People use this weekend for lucky/unlucky. They don't waste their time farming lockpicks.

Played over 20 hours this weekend. The only lockpick I got was Thursday afternoon, before the event. Got a Shiverpeak key outside Copperhammer. The only plus this weekend, 3 black dyes within 2 hours outside Eye of the North outpost.

What you could've done was just buy picks and go join some chest runs (Are those even still done?) or uwsc. Either way /yawn.

I guess its the same for me I haven't noticed any more picks than normal

So I'm still chestrunning right now lol

I did notice increase drop rate. I got much much more keys/picks than I was getting till the weekend. I think it is just a probability issue that some of us did not notice it (it is not 100% to get one so....).

I noticed the increased drop. I was so bored of chest running and drinking (weird Boreal zoning Drunkard randomness ftw) so I decided to go 600/smite dual account the Jade Brotherhood in Wajjun Bazaar for Nicholas.

After starting my second run I got another Lockpick and thought it was weird that they were dropping so frequently (got three the previous run) and then I finally remembered it was 3x Lockpicks AND double luck/unluck... The drop rate was enough for my main account to open each chest that came past (I hadn't bothered taking any picks out of the Xunlai) and left a few over.

Dude, you should see the insane number of Shing Jea keys I got on my new assassin! Those proved to be a real lifesaver since most of my lockpicks that I used in those areas in normal mode (retention rate of around 70%) broke.

Well, at least I advanced my unlucky title.

I didn't get a single lockpick drop. Then again, I didn't actually kill anything. What I did get this weekend was 85,000 points toward Unlucky. The drawback is, if I close my eyes, my mind is still running chests.

A couple of thousand to go for max Unlucky.
